Situated in the exclusive Coombe Estate Warren House offers peace and tranquillity suitable for accommodation, dining, conferences, meetings, seminars and training. The hotel consists of 46 bedrooms, 11 conference and event rooms, two bars and a restaurant with terrace dining. Warren House Hotel is owned and run by Sun Hotel Limited, a hospitality company that acquires and manages many hospitality businesses around Europe.

KITCHEN PORTER



A kitchen porter is responsible for basic food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring the area remains organised.

Duties and Responsibilities



Clean and sanitise all kitchen surfaces including countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks, and floors in line with health and safety regulations. Carry out end-of-day deep cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next service period. Maintain food storage areas such as refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage to ensure items are properly organised and rotated. Assist in receiving deliveries, checking items against invoices, and storing supplies in the correct locations. Wash, dry, and store all kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, and other equipment, either manually or using dishwashers. Remove kitchen waste and recyclables from bins and containers, ensuring proper disposal according to company and environmental standards. Clean, maintain, and safely store cooking equipment, such as mixers, blenders, fryers, and cookers, to extend their lifespan and ensure safe use. Provide basic support to the Chef and Prep Cooks in simple food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables or portioning ingredients. Respond promptly to requests from kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service times. Follow proper hygiene, grooming, and food safety standards at all times. Remain flexible to work in shifts (morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight) as part of a 24/7 hospitality operation, including weekends and public holidays. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt to new procedures, and contribute positively as part of a wider hotel team.

Key Requirements



Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation. Physical stamina to perform cleaning, lifting, and standing tasks for extended periods. Strong team spirit and willingness to support colleagues when needed. Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards (training will be provided).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
