We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our friendly and busy kitchen at doh'hut/things in bread. 4/5 days a week Wednesday-Sunday 11-5pm (this may vary!)
This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and hard working
Duties
Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
Support the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock rotation.
Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Assist with setting up and clearing down dining areas when required.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays if required.
