We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with basic food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth operations within our restaurant or hospitality setting. Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Support the kitchen team during service periods by ensuring all areas are tidy and well-stocked. Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts. Assist with receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality service. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary.
