We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy restaurant team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and kitchen operations. Prior experience is not essential but a keen interest in hospitality is desirable.
Duties
Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients as needed.
Supporting the kitchen team with organisation and stock
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts.
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Supporting the service staff during busy periods by providing clean crockery and cutlery as required.
Experience
Previous experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is beneficial.
Experience in food preparation or cooking can be an asset but is not essential for this role.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and willingness to learn about kitchen operations within a hospitality setting is highly valued.

Pay: 14.20-17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
