Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our restaurant kitchen team. You will play a vital role in supporting chefs during service by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Wash and clean dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly during service Keep kitchen workstations, floors, walls, and storage areas clean and organised Assist chefs with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients Ensure waste, recycling, and food disposal are handled correctly Receive and store deliveries following food safety procedures Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas at all times Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations Support the kitchen team before, during, and after service
Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen is an advantage but not essential Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods Strong work ethic and positive attitude Good time management and attention to detail Ability to work well as part of a team Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
