Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and restaurant staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn about food preparation and kitchen operations.

Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure hygiene standards are met Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the shift Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in designated areas Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Supporting the team during busy service periods to maintain efficiency and cleanliness

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations Good organisational skills and attention to detail Positive attitude and team-oriented approach Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary
