Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn about culinary processes within a vibrant restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure hygiene standards are met Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision Supporting the kitchen team with cleaning workstations and equipment Ensuring the kitchen area remains organised and free of hazards Collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations Restocking supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations Assisting serving staff during busy periods when required Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times

Skills

Experience or familiarity with food preparation and cooking is advantageous but not essential Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable Good organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary and hospitality services Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting

Job Type: Part-time
