We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. Responsibilities

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen Organising and storing clean items appropriately for easy access by kitchen staff Supporting the movement of ingredients and supplies around the kitchen as needed Adhering to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently Supporting serving staff during busy service periods when required

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is advantageous Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure Good understanding of hygiene standards within a professional kitchen setting Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends if required A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop skills within the hospitality sector
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
