We are a Greek restaurant based in Notting hill
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to support our kitchen staff in delivering excellent service to our guests. Previous experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Keeping the kitchen clean and organised, including work surfaces, floors, and storage areas Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations Collecting and disposing of waste responsibly in accordance with health and safety guidelines Restocking supplies and ensuring all equipment is stored correctly after use Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations at all times

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential Experience working within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting would be advantageous Familiarity with basic culinary tasks such as serving or assisting with food presentation is a plus A good understanding of health and safety standards within a kitchen setting Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: 13.50 per hour
