We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen environment is clean, organised, and efficient. Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to maintain freshness. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and help others in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times. Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
