Job Summary

We are looking for a great person to join our kitchen team. Experience is not needed as such but a great attitude and work ethic certainly is, and an interest in food and drink would certainly be a bonus.

The role would entail

- Keeping the dishwashing area clean throughout your shift

-Assisting the chefs with any tasks or food prep required .

-Being responsible for the ordering and rotation of cleaning chemicals and janitorial products.

-Assisting with taking receipt of food deliveries and supplies and storing them correctly and ensuring stock rotation so ingredient are used in the right order

-Punctuality, honesty and working as a team are key attributes

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies and ingredients. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in regular cleaning schedules to uphold hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
