Duties

Assist with food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils. Support chefs during peak service times by helping with basic cooking tasks as required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and properly stored after use. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and reporting shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. Basic culinary skills or experience in food preparation would be advantageous. A passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn about cooking techniques and kitchen operations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent teamwork skills, with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
