As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while assisting our culinary team in food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry and develop their skills in a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients. Ensure all food storage areas are kept tidy and organised. Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health regulations. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
