We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. This position is ideal for individuals with an interest in culinary arts and a passion for food preparation in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients to facilitate efficient workflow. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff. Participate in regular deep cleaning of kitchen areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning from experienced kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
