Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors. Support the organisation of kitchen storage areas, ensuring all items are stored correctly and efficiently. Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout shifts. Support the serving staff during busy periods by delivering food and clearing tables when required. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is desirable. Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality environments is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards teamwork. Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary. A positive approach to learning new skills within the culinary or hospitality sectors.
