We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and hospitality, and who thrive in a dynamic culinary setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring everything is readily accessible for cooking staff. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is preferred. Ability to work effectively within a team in a high-pressure environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A willingness to help and support colleagues in various kitchen tasks.
