We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. Experience is not required; this position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and culinary arts. Starting wage is 13 for basic kitchen porter duties with the potential to be 13.50 if you assist in light side work (running food, weighing fries, traying up biscuits).

Duties

Stay on top of washing dishes during prep and service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support cooks during busy service periods by preparing ingredients and maintaining a steady workflow if aiming for 13.50 wage with potential to grow. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Assist in maintaining inventory levels of kitchen cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for hospitality and culinary arts, with a desire to help others succeed in their roles. Flexibility to work various shifts; weekends and evenings are the most crucial shifts we will be scheduling for this position.
