The successful applicant will be joining a dedicated team of people who are committed to ensuring that the high standards, health & safety guidelines and cleanliness of the hotel are maintained. As a Kitchen Porter you will need to support the kitchen staff, ensuring that all kitchen and waste disposal areas are maintained to specified cleanliness, along with washing of cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment so that health and hygiene standards are met.
Your role will include:
Equipment and workstation to be maintained in a clean, working condition.
Prompt response to be given to the service needs of customers.
Positive working relationships to be established and maintained with colleagues throughout the hotel.
Always adhere to health & safety and endure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
Collecting and washing up pots and pans, cleaning food preparation areas & equipment, and unloading stock deliveries. To comply with any other reasonable request made by a manager of the company.
The successful candidate should have:
Engaging personality with a good approach to teamwork.
The ability to work in a busy environment under pressure.
Understanding of the importance of health and safety guidelines.
