We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our new kitchen team.

The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field and develop their skills within a fast-paced restaurant & banqueting setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Ensure that all dishes, pots, and pans are cleaned and sanitised promptly. Support chefs in cooking tasks as required, contributing to meal preparation. Help with the organisation of stock and supplies in the kitchen. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with serving food during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Participate in regular cleaning schedules to uphold high standards of hygiene.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
