Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to support ongoing kitchen operations. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and labelling. Support chefs during service by fetching ingredients and assisting with plating as required. Adhere to health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Assist with inventory management by reporting stock levels and helping with deliveries.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning from others. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
