We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for supporting the kitchen staff by handling cleaning duties, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Support the organisation of storage areas, including fridges and dry stores Ensure waste disposal is handled correctly and bins are emptied regularly Follow health and safety procedures at all times to uphold hygiene standards Assist with serving food during busy periods if required Help with stock rotation and inventory checks as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary A positive approach to teamwork and customer service standards

Pay: 12.21-13.42 per hour
