Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly, allowing chefs and kitchen staff to focus on food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high-standard hospitality setting. Applicants MUST be able to work evening and weekends shifts as required on a rota basis

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen Supporting the organisation of stock and ingredients to ensure smooth workflow Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations Ensuring that the kitchen complies with health and safety standards at all times Supporting the team during busy periods by helping with serving or other related tasks as needed

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the workplace
