Blackfriars Dominican Friary dates back to 1239. The restaurant occupies the former refectory and as such is the oldest dining room in Britain. It serves traditional historic dishes made from fresh, local and seasonal produce. Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Help with basic food service tasks such as plating and garnishing

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a hospitality or catering environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and utensils is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Willingness to learn and take direction from the kitchen staff

Note: This position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. The ability to work in a team is essential, as well as having good communication skills.
