We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high-standard culinary setting. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
Duties
Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure hygiene standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock management
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Supporting chefs with additional tasks as required during busy service periods
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen operations will be beneficial
Experience in serving or culinary roles can be advantageous
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are important for maintaining cleanliness standards
