We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety regulations Supporting the organisation of kitchen equipment and supplies for efficient workflow Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures Restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen remains tidy throughout service periods Supporting the team during busy periods by performing additional cleaning or preparatory tasks as needed

Skills

Experience in food preparation or cooking is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is important Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is desirable Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills and attention to detail Strong team player with excellent communication skills Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen setting
