We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment at The Garden Room. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and organisation, assisting with food preparation when needed, and contributing to a positive experience for our guests. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality field within a cafe setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients to facilitate efficient workflow. Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential - A willingness to learn and positive attitude are the most important qualities to us! Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
