Kitchen Porter (Part-time) @ Yeo Valley

So, what will I be doing?

Here at Yeo Valley, we take pride in delivering exceptional food and service to everyone who walks through our doors. Our kitchen team is at the heart of everything we do, and were looking for a hardworking Kitchen Porter to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.


We are looking for someone to join us on a part-time basis up to 32.5 hours a week. This role is Monday Friday, but may on occasion be required to work weekends.


The role will involve:

Keeping on top of the washing up in an efficient manner and general cleanliness of the kitchen. Ensure that crockery and cutlery are cleaned to the highest standard and safely stored to prevent unnecessary breakages. Correctly and accurately fill in kitchen due diligence paperwork each day including fridge and freezer temperature checks and cleaning schedules. Helping to unload and put away deliveries. Making sure bins are emptied and cleaned as required. Deep cleaning of equipment to the manufacturers specifications and areas of the kitchen when required. Assisting the chefs with basic food and vegetable preparation.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

The successful individual will be personable, professional and flexible in their approach. Working with a number of Departmental Managers they will support Yeo Valley events and therefore need excellent time management skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritise work. A strong attention to detail and desire to be proactive are essential skills to being successful in this post.
