Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational tasks to facilitate efficient service. Ensuring the kitchen area is clean and organised at all times, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas. Collecting and disposing of waste responsibly in accordance with health and safety regulations. Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods. Assisting with serving food when required, providing support to front-of-house staff during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is important. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards. Good organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen setting. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
