Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking. Keep kitchen equipment and utensils organised and in good working order. Remove waste and ensure proper disposal methods are followed. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by helping with various tasks as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and reporting shortages.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn about food preparation techniques would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
