Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring they are readily available for use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with various cooking tasks as needed. Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling practices are followed. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices within the hospitality sector. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities as required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed by the business.
