Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items under the guidance of chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during busy service periods by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks as needed. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service times.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of cooking techniques are preferred. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service to guests. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
