is looking for a friendly and reliable

Kitchen Porter

to join our close-knit team. We're a busy, high-quality cafe serving freshly prepared dishes in a beautiful setting, so we need someone who's happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

We're open 7 days a week. Shifts be daytime and occasional evening hours, with a break in the middle of the day.

Duties

Support the kitchen team by assisting with food preparation as directed by chefs. Maintain cleanliness across the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and stored correctly after use. Manage waste and recycling in line with hygiene and safety standards. Assist with deliveries -- checking, unpacking, and storing supplies appropriately. Uphold high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times. Provide general kitchen support during busy periods to keep service running smoothly.

Qualifications & Attributes

Previous experience in a kitchen, cafe, or hospitality setting is helpful but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Good organisation and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. A genuine passion for great food and hospitality.
