Overview

We are looking for hard working dedicated individuals to join the kitchen team. The role of the kitchen porter is very important to supporting the operations of the kitchen team, if there is a passion to learn, then we are always willing to look to train passionate individuals beyond the initial role of kitchen porter.

As KP (kitchen porter) your duties will be to maintain hygiene levels in the kitchen, to wash plateware and cooking equipment and to replenish these items to the cooking line. At times you maybe asked and shown how to do basic food preparation, organise store areas and support the chef team.

You will be given staff meals at breaks, be entitled to a cut of the team tips pool and be a part of a high energy, hardworking environment. Hours are both day and night and weekends.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas. Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes efficiently. Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as required. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help colleagues as needed. Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
