The opportunity

AJW Group are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our catering operations and provide an excellent service to all employees. This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming food environment while helping to increase engagement across the team.

+ Clean and sanitise all food preparation areas in line with hygiene standards. + Wash and correctly store cooking appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
+ Assist with preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, meat, and poultry.
+ Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe down kitchen walls.
+ Unload delivered food supplies and ensure they are stored correctly.
+ Organize and maintain food storage areas to ensure safe and efficient use.
+ Transfer ingredients promptly from storage areas to the kitchen as needed.
+ Maintain cleanliness across all catering facilities in line with food hygiene requirements.
+ Collect and deliver items around the building when required by the business.

+ Experience working in a similar role. + Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and clear communication skills.
+ A positive, approachable manner with a willingness to support the wider team.
+ Ability to work independently while consistently delivering high?quality work.
