Job Summary

Our team is growing and we are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling chefs to deliver excellent dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness, good organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in this role / food service or hospitality preferred.

Duties

Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers. Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen. Restock supplies and organise storage areas to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Support the team during service periods by clearing tables and assisting with serving when required. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a team setting. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or culinary environments will be considered an asset but is not mandatory. Pay: 12.50 per hour
