Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pot Wash to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards by thoroughly washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience within a vibrant hospitality environment, supporting the smooth operation of our culinary services. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Efficiently wash and sanitise pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods. Ensure all items are cleaned promptly to meet service deadlines and hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness of the pot wash area, including organisation of clean and dirty items. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Support the wider kitchen team with general cleaning duties and organisational tasks as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is beneficial. Experience in serving or working within a fast-paced hospitality setting will be considered an advantage. Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a culinary or hospitality context is highly valued.
