We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a bustling hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by supporting the culinary team with various tasks. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and have an interest in pursuing a career within the culinary or hospitality industry.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring that all surfaces and equipment are kept hygienic and tidy. Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to health and safety standards. Support chefs during busy periods by providing assistance where needed, including restocking supplies and preparing ingredients for service. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the operational needs of the kitchen.

Pay: 8.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 18 per week
