Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team 11am-3pm Monday-Friday and 11am-4pm Sunday. You will be entitled to a share of the tips received for each shift you work.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting the chefs and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and kitchen maintenance. Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure hygiene standards are met Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout shifts Organising storage areas and ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely Supporting the team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance where needed Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is desirable Experience working in a busy kitchen will be beneficial Ability to work effectively as part of a team under pressure Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills Flexibility to work additional shifts to cover holiday and other leave, including evenings if necessary
