About Us:

The Canteen at The Old Hospital is a vibrant community cafe, part of the Old Hospital Hub. We take pride in serving fresh, delicious meals and supporting local initiatives that bring people together. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly.

Role Overview:

As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen, supporting the chefs, and ensuring a smooth service. This is a crucial role in our busy cafe, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things organised.

We are looking for someone who is available every Saturday for an 8hr per week role, with option for extra hours during the busy periods. Shifts are 9am-4pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to a high standard. Keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic, including surfaces, floors, and storage areas. Assisting with unloading and storing deliveries. Helping with basic food preparation when needed. Following health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

No previous experience required - just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliability and a good attitude towards teamwork. A keen eye for cleanliness and hygiene. Flexibility to work (there will be extra hours available during busy periods).

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
