Kitchen Porter
Duties:
- Assist in the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, including countertops, cutting boards, and equipment
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly
- Sweep and mop floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients
- Support the culinary team by stocking supplies and ingredients as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations in handling food and maintaining cleanliness standards
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, culinary, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
