Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the hospitality industry, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in delivering high-quality service. Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision Supporting the kitchen team with organisation and stock replenishment Ensuring the kitchen area is kept tidy and free from hazards at all times Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations Restocking supplies and ingredients as required to facilitate smooth kitchen operations Supporting serving staff during busy periods when necessary

Skills

Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations Experience in cooking or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential Previous hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous Good organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen setting Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health regulations
