Responsibilities

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to meet health and safety standards Organising storage areas and ensuring proper stock rotation Supporting the delivery of high standards of hygiene across all areas of the kitchen Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures Supporting the culinary team during busy service periods by providing necessary assistance

Qualifications

Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable Experience working in a professional kitchen or culinary setting is beneficial Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and hygiene standards Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting
