The role
Assists the Head Chef and kitchen team by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order in kitchen and back of house areas. Ensure a 'positive', 'can do' attitude.
Key responsibilities
Wash crockery and utensils by hand and using the dishwasher.
Daily clean of kitchen areas.
Deep clean of kitchen equipment.
Keep stores areas neat and tidy.
Assist with basic preparation of food where necessary under guidance of your Line Manager ensuring all Food hygiene and H&S procedures are adhered to.
Keep refrigeration and freezers organized.
Report failing equipment to Supervisor.
Report Health and Safety hazards to Supervisor or Catering Manager.
Communicate effectively with staff.
Contribute to stock taking as required.
Provide porter support with deliveries.
Provide porter support where necessary.
Accept training to enable safe completion of duties.
Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
