Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting our culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry and wish to gain experience in a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained. Support chefs during service by providing assistance as needed to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times. Assist in the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with environmental policies.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, such as in restaurants or hotels, is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and a desire to learn more about food preparation processes. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy hospitality setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others within the kitchen team.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
