Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting food preparation and assisting with basic cooking tasks. Responsibilities

Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and promptly. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain hygiene standards. Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to ensure a clean working environment. Restock supplies and organise storage areas to facilitate smooth kitchen operations. Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods as required. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.

Requirements

Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards is desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary. A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary practices and hospitality operations.
