Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and wish to gain valuable experience in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Hours Required: Evenings Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Duties



Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as directed by chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies and ingredients. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in regular cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks as required.

Skills



Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A proactive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and management. A willingness to learn and develop culinary skills within the industry.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
