Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The shifts are Monday to Friday evenings 6 to 930 pm and Tuesday Wednesday Thursday lunch 1030 till 230 pm .The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and supporting chefs in their culinary tasks. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary equipment and ingredients are readily available. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic work environment. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and labelling. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods. Participate in regular cleaning duties, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and surfaces.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing excellent service. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
