at The White Hart, you play a vital role in supporting our chefs and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You are an essential part of the back-of-house team, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency in our busy gastro pub.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
Support the chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen at all times
Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned, stored correctly, and ready for service
Assist with restocking supplies and basic inventory management
Provide hands-on support during busy service periods
Follow all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with sustainability practices
What You Bring to the Team:
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not required -- a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
