Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, pots, and pans promptly.
Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and utensils, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
A passion for food and an interest in culinary arts will be an advantage.
Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
