We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. Duties
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
Support cooking staff during service by providing assistance as needed.
Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, ensuring all items are ready for use by chefs.
Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is advantageous.
Basic culinary skills including food preparation and cooking techniques.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
